Eric Magnuson
Writer, Master Griller, Silence Filler
I'm a writer.  That's rather broad, I realize.  But for the time being, let's start there.  Currently, I'm preparing the formal proposal for a nonfiction book titled Pelting Out. If the elevator doors were closing, I'd blurt out "imagine Eric Schlosser's Fast Food Nation mashed up with a punk rock version of Garrison Keillor's 'A Prairie Home Companion'." Informative, shocking and oh so darn folksy.

I've also written two novels.  The first is titled Return Control Delete - it's a sexy thriller with an identity theft angle that is both boldly original and scary.  Imagine "The Social Network" crossed with "Fatal Attraction".

Also in that as-yet-unpublished realm of work (but only because I haven't shopped it around) is my prior novel, titled Locus Rising. This is another stand-alone novel, paced and written as a thriller. Locus features a plot in which a proud, troubled, but ultimately heroic homeless man struggles to survive on the streets of Seattle. There's room for much more here - I've planned  a three-book cycle for the world introduced herein. As with all of my work, I'm happy to discuss these plans and show representative work if you are interested in publication.

Let this also serve notice that other ideas are always stewing in my mental cauldron. My other bold, meaty cuts of non-fiction - both as long-form journalism and book-length projects - will be forthcoming after the primary work on Pelting Out is completed. You may by now be asking - "what's with all this vague foreshadowing?" Point taken - I don't want to get too far out there on the planning. But I'm talking "ten-year plan" here and now - in cursory form. is my aim, though. As always, let me know if your interest is piqued and I can help you out by filling in some of the blanks I've offered.
